Love your recipes. Been using them for a couple of years now. Can you also add some vegetarian protein substitutes we can use to boost the protein intake, especially in lunch or dinner recipes? Keep up the good work!

Yes, that would work.

This, on the other hand, turned out GREAT. I found the flavors and textures to all be in balance, and the ratio of pesto to pasta was perfect (might sound like a basic thing, but sometimes I can’t seem to get it right). I’m going to see if I have enough late-season basil hanging on to make another batch!

Thanks, Jonathan! I wonder if your pesto needed a bit more blending time. It shouldn’t be too oily next time.

I will definitely make it again!

While my pesto turned out slightly less smooth than intended, the flavor was beautifully nuanced, with a fresh, aromatic quality that only garden-picked basil can provide. The recipe is quite simple, making it equally suitable for a quick weeknight meal or an effortless dinner party. I followed the instructions exactly and was impressed by how well the ingredients came together. For an elevated twist, consider adding sautéed shrimp, a crisp arugula salad, and warm focaccia to round out the meal. I paired it with a chilled glass of Vermentino, which complemented the herbaceous pesto and subtle richness of the pasta beautifully. A scrumptious dish I look forward to making again.

Homemade vegan parmesan will work well.
