In reply to Denise. Hi Denise, I think the mayonnaise helps emulsify the dressing, and that sour cream won't incorporate quite as smoothly. It would add a nice tang.

Delicious salad dressing! I omitted the lemon zest, used mayo instead of Greek yogurt and maple syrup instead of honey. Next time I’ll try it with the Greek yogurt and honey and see which option I like better.

I had a fresh, just picked, cabbage
I used the poppy seed dressing and made cole slaw! It was so good!
Tonight we had garden salad and I served the dressing on the side! Again it was a hit. We all love this new recipe!

Absolutely delicious! I wasn’t sure about the mustard as I’m not usually a big fan of mustard IN salad dressings, but I persevered and what can I say, it worked perfectly! And isn’t particularly mustard-y? It just all blends together in a delightfully fresh way.

We had Greek yogurt and honey on hand, so we chose that path, but I’d also like to try it with maple syrup as also suggested. Am also looking forward to trying this with lime or orange!

This is one of, if not the best poppyseed dressings I’ve had (and certainly the best one I’ve made myself!). We paired it with a salad of arugula and butterhead lettuce with mango and strawberries. Perfect for summer!
