I did change it by using ingredients that I had at home. I used black currants and half the quantity of maple syrup, fortunately I don’t need my dessert to be super sweet so this was just perfect for me. It’s definitely a keeper.

This is our new favorite recipe!! My family DEVOURED this cake, which turned out exactly like this photo you posted! It was extremely easy, beautiful, and delicious! I even used the 1 cup Greek yogurt to add a bit more nutrients to it and wow was it amazing! Thank you so much for your recipe!

I will also note that my berries were frozen & would probably use less next time. Adding lemon zest & chopped fresh basil added a nice elevated flavor.

Hi Pamela, thank you for your feedback. I have started including measurements for new baking recipes the weight of flour, but converting the nearly 1000 recipes on my site to include metric measurements would be a major undertaking that I don’t have plans for now.

Would love to try more of your recipes but living in the UK we don’t measure in cups. Could you please include metric measurements in your recipes?
Many thanks.

Got distracted with kiddos and came back to a burnt cake. So frustrating! Waste of quality ingredients! Used honey and some raspberries with the blueberries but otherwise did as stated. Use Yummy Toddler Berry Cake recipe instead of this one.

Made this with a home made gluten free flour mix (sorghum, brown and white rice flours, potato and tapioca starches). Used two cups of blueberries, with 1.25 in the batter and the rest evenly on top. Added the juice of one lemon, rest as per recipe. My first ever blueberry cake, absolutely delicious, perfectly baked at 40 min and perfectly sweet too! Thank you!
