Filled the cups to about 3/4 full and baked them at 350 degrees for 21 minutes. I didn’t have honey, so I used real maple syrup. They were delicious. Definitely sweeter than I expected, but my audience was grandchildren and a son-in-law who doesn’t like corn. They were a win! Thank you for another great recipe!

We’ve made it so many times over the last year and I made a small modification to make it easier for me: I melt the butter and mix it directly into the batter, then pour the batter into a parchment-lined 9×13 inch metal baking dish. I might do the melted-butter-in-pan method in a cast iron pan to prevent sticking, but I didn’t think it made a difference in flavor for a 9×13 dish.

The cornbread pairs amazingly with the vegetarian chili recipe on this site, and I also like serving it with other types of chili and soup. Thank you!!
