This is an amazing recipe! I make this every couple of weeks. The kids loooove this. I also make her pumpkin bread which is equally as delicious. It is a go to recipe! Highly recommend.

Hi Patricia, yes it will work in the recipe. It has a neutral flavor.

It’s safe to heat up to 400 degrees F and is as healthy as coconut oil without the saturated fat.

Hi Miriam, can you use maple syrup? Apple puree is less sweet but also more watery, so that would impact the final texture.

I can’t wait to try this recipe. I’m looking for recipes for my 7 month old who is allergic to dairy and soy and can’t have honey until she’s 12 months old. Do you think I can use apple puree instead of honey? It won’t be as sweet I know but would consistency still be ok?

Hi Daniel, oil is preferable and helps keep baked goods like these moist. Butter contains water, whereas oil is 100% fat.

Hi Beverly, I recommend the recipe as written. I have another banana bread recipe made with almond flour you might like.

Tbh I really just added about 1/2 cup in. Banana bread is more of a batter than a dough so it didn’t make a difference in the consistency or rise.

Hi Elizabeth, you’ll want to increase the sugar by 25% if using cane sugar.

Hi S, baking soda is bicarbonate of soda, and you should be able to find it! I hope this helps.
